Draft of your letter to your neighbor from your character-
Short Autobiography
A new neighbor has just moved in next to you. Write a short letter to them to introduce
yourself. Include the following
information in your “story” about who you are:
First Paragraph: How
did you come into this world, where were you born, when, to whom? Where did you first live, how did your
parents earn a living? Tell about your
first few years of your life.
Second and third paragraph:
Tell about critical events in your life that helped shape who you are
now. Look specifically for incidences
that relate to you overcoming obstacles, taking risks or shaping your life.
Fourth paragraph:
Tell about education, credentials, skills or beliefs that set you apart
from others. Discuss how you developed
these traits and how this has benefited you personally and professionally.
Final Paragraph: What
is your current situation? Where do you
live, with whom? Include info about
children, family, hobbies, beliefs, interests, and professional status. What are your goals and what are you currently
doing, striving to accomplish in your life?
What can you offer to your neighbor to make them feel welcome?
