. Sell $5.00 tickets to the Whole Foods Thanksgiving Fundraiser for SES:  Thursday, Nov. 6th.
Service opportunities-
1.  Lone Fir:  Remembering those that are forgotten.  Mirka will be at the Lone Fir from 12 to dusk on Sunday, Oct. 26 and would love students to spend time there, placing a single flower on graves.
2. No Ivy Day:  Saturday, October 25. Students can go to this link and sign up to pull ivy:  https://www.portlandoregon.gov/parks/47820
3. Day of the Dead Procession:  Sunday, November 2, 4-11 PM Park Blocks behind Smith Center.  This year the procession is on a Sunday, which makes it a little tricky for meeting up with students.  Minka suggested that SES kids and families meet at 3:00 at Smith Center where we can gather and paint our faces and then all be together for the procession.  We will walk up the park blocks to the Crystal Ballroom where SES students can enter for free   As far as getting home, students will need to carpool, get picked up, etc. on their own.  I am happy to have kids sign in with me at Smith Center and walk with them to the ballroom, as well as sign out when parents pick them up.  -Jan
4. Whole Foods Thanksgiving Fundraiser for SES:  Thursday, Nov. 6th.   Sell $5 tickets Last year students also performed music –you could too!
