Community: Belmont Street Fair
The PTSA is hosting a kids' area at the Belmont Street Fair on Saturday, September 12 to raise money for the Go Fund. Middle schoolers can earn services hours by helping collect tickets and otherwise making the area fun. We'll need a few adults throughout the day, as well. If you have a safe and fun yard game that we can use for the day, please contact Mike.Bray.pdx@gmail.comUse this sign-up to volunteer for shifts.
Community: Salmon Headwaters Cleanup
This Saturday, September 12 at Timberline Lodge’s Salmon River parking lot is the 4th annual Salmon Headwaters Cleanup. Sign-in begins at 9:00am and cleanup of The Salmon River Headwaters begins promptly at 10:00am (and goes until about 1pm). The following weekend, Saturday, September 19 we will convene at 10am at Lewis & Clark State Park to give the lower Sandy a scrubbing. Ben Jacklet at the Shred Hood blog gave us a welcome writeup recently. Thanks Ben!  All participants except the Portland Mountain Rescue crew will head either down canyon to Timberline's drainfield  or up to the Silcox Hut. Please pack gloves, water, snacks, warm layers, rain gear and sunscreen. Be prepared for alpine weather contingencies. We will provide coffee, doughnuts, trash bags, trash hauling and some cool free tchotchke's from Resource Revival for the first 20 participants to arrive.  Thank you in advance to our partners Portland Mountain Rescue, The US Forest Service, Timberline Lodge, Voodoo Doughnut, Resource Revival, The Sandy River Watershed Council, Stout Creek Outfitters, SOLVE, Oregon State Parks and participants. (Contact snowriderproject@gmail.com for more info or with questions)

Snacks will be provided. It is helpful to bring your own gloves and even a wheelbarrow, if possible. Please do your best to join us for part or all of the time. Come to work together, make new friends and grow healthy kids. Questions? Please contact Steph.
