Wednesday June 1st –

·       Service reflections ( see requirements below)- Turned in to Google Classroom

·       Ask your folks if they want to join us for our trip Thursday to Errol Heights leaving at 9:15 back by 2:15

·       Bring in mint, honey and lemon or lime if you have a local connection

·         ~ Educate the audience with facts and statistics related to your issue.

·         ~Describe your role and the importance of helping out in this area (or learning about this culture.)

·         ~Identify your sources of information (about the issue or culture).

·         ~Include vivid details and description.

·         ~Encourage your audience to help make a difference with this issue (or learn about this culture)

·            How might they get involved? What is the next step?

·         ~Consider whether service done was addressing the symptoms of bigger problems or if they are really getting at the causes of problems. This might lead to exploring alternative ways to tackle the same issues.

8^th grade- My Life So Far:  2 parts—1) reflect on your years at SES and your life during middle school. What did you learn about yourself, others and the world?  What conflicts did you face and how did you work to overcome them?  What moments were funny and adventuresome?  Who helped you along the way?  2) News and events:  what was going on in the world during your middle school years? World news, celebrity gossip, local happenings, etc. You might create one page/year to go along with your own personal reflection in part (1).

·       Field trip to Errol Heights- bring lunch and water

Iron Chef and Sunnystock!!!!

Tuesday June 7th –

·       ¾ day -Community trip to Laurelhurst- bring water, lunch and food to share

Wednesday June 8th –

·       8th grade promotion!

Thursday June 9^th-

·       Last Day of School- Bring a marker for yearbook signing, lunch and water too!
